Terms and Conditions
1. Scope of Work
All services provided by Black Line Landscapes—whether landscape construction or garden maintenance—will be outlined in a written quote, maintenance schedule, or service agreement. Work will be carried out according to the agreed scope, materials, and timeframe, subject to weather and site conditions.
2. Quotes & Pricing
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Changes to project scope or requested variations may incur additional charges.
Maintenance services are either billed at an agreed hourly rate or via fixed monthly contract. Pricing may be reviewed periodically.
3. Deposit & Payment Terms
Projects: A 50% deposit is required before work begins. Final balance is due upon completion, unless otherwise agreed.
Maintenance: Invoices are issued weekly, due within 7 days. Late payments may incur a 5% fee per week.
4. Garden Maintenance Services
Regular maintenance includes tasks such as lawn mowing, hedge trimming, weeding, pruning, fertilising, and seasonal clean-ups.
A fixed schedule (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly) will be agreed upon in advance.
Clients must provide access on scheduled days; missed visits may still be charged unless 48 hours notice is given.
Services do not include pest control, major landscaping, or tree removal unless specified separately.
5. Cancellations & Postponements
Landscaping project cancellations within 14 days of a confirmed start may incur a fee for already committed costs.
For maintenance clients, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice for any changes to avoid cancellation fees.
Delays due to weather, access, or client-related issues may result in rescheduling and possible extra costs.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients must ensure clear, safe access to the site and advise of any known hazards or underground services.
Responsibility for obtaining any necessary council approvals or permissions lies with the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Warranties & Maintenance
Structural landscape work (e.g., decks, paving, retaining walls) is covered under a 12-month workmanship warranty.
Plants are not covered under warranty unless Black Line Landscapes is engaged for ongoing maintenance.
We are not liable for damage due to poor maintenance, third-party work, weather events, or misuse.
8. Liability
We are fully insured and take all reasonable precautions. However, we accept no liability for damage to underground services not disclosed by the client.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses related to scheduling, weather, or supply delays.
9. Photography & Promotion
We may take before/after photos of projects for promotional purposes. If you do not consent, please notify us in writing.
10. Variations & Changes
Any change to the agreed plan, materials, or schedule must be confirmed in writing and may affect the cost and timeline.
11. Dispute Resolution
Black Line Landscapes is committed to quality and professionalism. If an issue arises, both parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith before escalating to formal dispute channels.
12. Pricing Adjustments
All quoted prices are based on current market rates for materials, labour, and subcontracted services at the time of quoting. In the event of significant changes in supplier costs, fuel prices, or other unforeseen economic factors, Black Line Landscapes reserves the right to adjust pricing accordingly. Any changes will be communicated in advance and agreed upon before continuing work. We strive to remain transparent and fair in all pricing matters.
